ENTREVISTA CON HOUNDS!!!!!!

Hoy os traemos a Hounds desde New Jersey, practican un Hardcore influenciado por el Black Metal, charlamos en esta pequeña entrevista sobre su Ep, sus videos locos y alguna que otra cosa, igualmente incluiremos una temita suyo en el podscast de Horny Culture. Stay Tuned.

¿Quiénes sois Hounds? 

R: Bien,  todo el mundo es Hounds. La idea de Hounds es no decir quiénes somos en realidad, algunas personas pueden conocer nuestros nombres reales pero tampoco les aporta mucha luz, porque nuestra música se basa en el sentimiento más oscuro que todos tenemos dentro y que con el que cualquiera puede identificarse.
 
Vuestro  estilo es muy particular, ¿cuáles son vuestras influencias? 
A: Nuestras mayores influencias son nuestros grandes  hermanos en el banner. Joey Southside ha sido realmente importante para ayudarnos a salir desde el principio. Nuestros otras influencias: Converge, Afi, Nails, Yaitw, Code Orange y muchas bandas de Black Metal 
Vuestro  primer EP es realmente bueno, una cubierta oscura, un gran sonido y grandes cuatro canciones. ¿ Como ha sido la recepcion del Ep? ¿Le esta gustando a la gente?

R: Tuvimos el honor de trabajar con Ryan de  Blasphemour Records, su sello es un buen hogar para nosotros, nos gusta mucho trabajar con él y esperamos hacerlo otra vez. En cuanto a gente que le gusta el álbum, hemos estado recibiendo algunos elogios que nunca pensamos que podríamos oír así que parece que a la gente le esta llegando, tenemos ganas de darles mas y tener nuevas caras escuchan nuestra mierda. 
¿De que hablais en vuestras letras?
  
R: La parte de Palehorse hablamos en es un pronunciacion interior que queríamos simplemente  que sonara realmente aterrador, pero al mismo tiempo le damos un verdadero golpe emocional.

 
En vuestro canal de youtube hay algunos videos promocionales muy locos y perturbadores, ¿Los estais haciendo vosotros mismos? 

A: Si, los hacemos los amamos,  por lo que es nuestra manera de añadir algo más para complentar nuestra música. Tenemos la oportunidad de hacer algo con que lo que  gente puede emocionarse y ver lo que estamos haciendo.

 
Veo que en algunos directos usais "corpse painting" en la cara como una banda de black metal, dime más acerca de esto, ¿es un homenaje?

 
A: Sí se puede llamar un homenaje, amamos este género de la música y queríamos exponerselo a las personas en la comunidad hardcore, se podria decir que casi queremos construir un puente entre los dos mundos. 

En EE.UU. hay una gran escena de blackened hardcore. ¿Cómo veis esto? ¿Están aparte de la tradicional escena de hardcore tradicional?

 
R: Todos crecimos con la escena de hardcore tradicional,  realmente ha sido asi toda la vida, pero este estilo más oscuro de  música se ha sido  imponiendo aquí  y es increíble estar en la vanguardia de ella tocando con bandas como Old wounds, Exalt, Hollow earth, Of feather and bone, Black mask . Todo el mundo parece estar en algo realmente genial. 
¿Teneis planes para venir a Europa en algun momento?

 R: Nos encantaría tocar en  Europa es sólo cuestión de conseguir esa oportunidad, pero cuando llegue iremos seguro! 
¿Cuáles son vuestros planes de futuro?
  
R: Estamos trabajando en la elaboración de una gira para el verano que nos llevará a través de la mayor parte del este de Suramericano y la salida  de otro EP titulado "II".

Who are Hounds?


 A: well everyone is Hounds. The idea of Hounds is to not say who we actually are, some people may know our actual names but we don't believe in a spot light because our music is based around the darker feeling we all have inside and it's for you to relate.


 Your style is very particular, what are your influences? 


 A: our biggest influences would have to be our big brothers in the banner. Joey Southside has been really awesome with helping us out from the start. Our other influences would be converge, afi, nails, yaitw,code orange and many black metal bands

your first EP is really good, a dark cover,great sound and great four songs.Like thisbeing the host of the EP?it is liking people? 

A: we had the honor of working with ryan from blasphemour records on hosting this release and his label is such a good home for us, we really enjoy working with him and hope to do another one with him. As far as people liking the album we've been getting some compliments that we never thought we would hear so it seems like people are really getting into it and we can't wait to give them more and to have new faces hear our stuff.

The speaking in your lyrics? 

A: The part of palehorse we speak in is a spoken out inner though we wanted to just make it sound really scary but at the same time give it a real emotional punch

In your youtube channel you have somepretty disturbing promo videos, Are you doing by yourselves?

 A: yes we do we love making them it's our way of adding something more to go with our music. We get to make something that people can get excited about and have someone go what are they doing.

I see that in lives shows you use "corpse painting" in your face like a black metal band, tell me more about this, It's a tribute? 

A: yeah you could call it a tribute, we just really love that genre of music and we wanted to expose people in the hardcore community to it almost build a bridge you could say between the two worlds.

 In USA there are a great blackened hardcorescene. How do you see this? Are you guys apart from the traditional hardcore scene? 

 A: We all grew up in the traditional hardcore scene it's really been our whole lives but this darker style of music has really been catching on here and it's amazing to be on the forefront of it playing with bands like old wounds, exalt, hollow earth, of feather and bone, black mask. Everyone seems to be on to something really cool.

Do you plan to come to Europe anytime? 

A: We would love to come play Europe it's just a matter of getting that opportunity but when we get one we're absolutely coming.

 What are your future plans?

 A: We're working on putting together a tour for the summer that will bring us through most of south east america and releasing another EP titled "II".
